In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to introduce water-saving technologies in agriculture”, adopted on December 11, 2020, a seminar on the introduction of water-saving technologies was organized at the premises of the “FERGANA GLOBAL TEXTILE” LLC enterprise in the Kushtepa district.

It was attended by the Deputy Governor of the region for Agriculture and Water Resources A. Tursunov, Governor of the Kushtepa district I. Novikov, and sector heads, heads of the agricultural and water resources departments, heads of cotton textile and grain clusters, and heads of organizations building water-saving technologies in the region.

If we take into account that a significant part of the available water resources is spent on growing agricultural crops, it becomes clear that the economical use of this invaluable resource is an urgent issue. For this purpose, the introduction of water-saving technologies in the cultivation of agricultural crops will increase productivity and create the opportunity to save water.

"FERGANA GLOBAL TEXTILE" LLC, in collaboration with one of the world's leading companies, "Netafim", is implementing automatic drip irrigation technology. The water pond in the project is 162x42 meters long and contains a water capacity of 17,000 m³. 2 vertical wells have been constructed to supply the pond with water. With this economical technology, 200 hectares of cropland will be drip-irrigated.

At this seminar organized on the introduction of water-saving technologies, industry experts provided explanations to those gathered about the installation of new technologies.
