THE BEST APPLES ON THE MARKET ARE GROWING IN SURKHANDARYA
Growing crops in the Surkhandarya oasis, a southern region of our country, is somewhat more difficult than in other regions. The reason is that all kinds of pests, diseases, and weeds can be found in this region. Therefore, farmers and peasants from Surkhandarya are constantly vigilant and alert when growing agricultural products.

This 20-hectare intensive orchard, belonging to the “Shashmohkashob Agrosanoat” farm in the Denov district of the Surkhandarya region, was established in 2011, and the apple seedlings here were brought from Turkey. As we noted above, the creation of this orchard, growing seedlings, and protecting them from diseases and harmful factors was not the only thing that was needed. According to the farm agronomist Asliddin Davlatov, who has been involved in all the work and actively participated in agrotechnical activities since the orchard was founded, cooperation with “Ifoda” is of great help to him.

– We have been working with the Ifoda company for many years. Our joint efforts in feeding trees, combating diseases and pests, especially in eliminating weeds, are very effective, – says A. Davlatov. – Gardeners know well that in early spring, after the trees bloom in the gardens, bacterial burn disease spreads widely. If you do not prevent this in time, there is a possibility that the tree will dry out. To combat this, the specialists of “Ifoda” recommended such drugs as IFO MIS ULTRA, FOSETAL, ZEROKS, which we used. Thankfully, our harvest is not bad. Most importantly, our fruits are ripening with high quality.
Spiked and broad-leaved weeds were also fought in the garden in a timely manner. The chemical agent ENTOGLIFOS was used against them. During the dormant period, ENTOXLOROK-85 and ENTOXLOROK PLUS were used against diseases. In addition, AGROFOS-D, AGROFOS EXTRA, ENTOLUCHO chemicals were sprayed against rodent and sucking pests.

– One of the main pests of apples is the apple worm. We need to start fighting it in early spring, – says leading agronomist Alisher Mamatvaliyev. – Many people think that after the apple blossoms and 50% of the flowers have fallen, chemical treatment against the apple fruit borer should be carried out. This is not very effective. If we also use pheromone traps against this pest, the result will be good. If we approach this scientifically, we can say that the pheromone will determine that the apple worm has appeared in the field. After 4-5 butterflies have landed, chemical treatments should be carried out. Only then will we effectively fight the pest.

In the apple orchard of the “Shashmohkashob Agrosanoat” farm, all harmful factors are being fought in a timely manner. It is no wonder that the earliest fruits in our markets, when the apples were already ripe, were grown precisely from this orchard.
