WHAT SHOULD WE PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN PLANTING?

After planting a seedling, good care and quality agricultural techniques are important, but there are also aspects that need to be paid attention to when planting it, which will ensure that it grows into a healthy tree, with high-quality fruits and free from various diseases. This is the main reason why many trees, despite proper care, dry out early and fail to develop. So, what should we pay attention to before planting?

Alisher MAMATVALIEV, leading agronomist:

Before planting a tree, we need to perform several actions. First, the damaged roots are cut off. Because these roots are more likely to be affected by various diseases and other negative factors. The tree has the property of self-regeneration. Therefore, a new one will soon grow in place of the cut root. The next point that we need to pay attention to is that the excess roots in our seedling, that is, what we call "wild shoots", are removed. This helps the nutrients to be absorbed into the body and also helps the seedling to establish itself faster. The last of our pruning work is to cut the seedling at a height of 50 cm for a fruit tree, and 60 cm for a seed tree.

In addition, the agronomist emphasized the importance of pre-planting fertilization. According to him, 30-40 g of the VL-77 preparation is mixed well in 10 liters of water and the seedling roots are immersed. It also gives good results if it is poured into the soil after planting. At home, a liquid mixture is made from humus and soil and the tree roots are immersed in the same way. This procedure helps the seedling develop until it recovers.

Some people, when planting seedlings, tamp down the roots with their feet after the soil is poured. This is wrong. Because when you press down with your foot, the soil compacts and there is a possibility that air will remain in it. Since the soil placed in the pit is not soft, when water is added, it dissolves in a uniform amount of water, settles under its own weight, expelling all the air and compacting the soil around the roots with a uniform amount of soil.
